Hi! A friend of mine told me that on her pc (HP G6-2154 SL) there were some problems, and she didn't enjoy Windows 8 (which she had installed by herself). She asked me to reinstall windows 7.

I did so, but then (after the installing process) all the network part of the pc has no drivers, and I can't connect to the internet (neither ethernet nor wi-fi) to download them.

How could I fix this?

(Sorry for my bad english, I'm italian :D)

Hi,

Go into Device Manager, right click on the problem device and select Properties. Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.

Do this for each device that shows an error

(The ip 151.1.172.50 is mine, I created that while I was working on a website in a company called Genesys; it is 100% safe)

Download and install the Chipset Driver.

After this has installed, restart the notebook, then download and install the following.

And for the Unlnown device, download and install.

My problem is almost exactly as stated in this prior post. HD crashed on my Pavilion g7 lap top. Replaced HD, reinstalled windows 7 (64) but no Ethernet Controller, PCI Device, or PCI Simple communications controller drivers. Thus I cannot get on the internet to upgrade. I did exactly as the prior poster did and got all the Details but now don't know what to do next. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Ltcjc
