I have downloaded the windows 10 64 bit ISO image using media creation tool and burnt the image to a DVD so that I can clean install windows 10 when need arise. My laptop does not have an integrated DVD drive, so, I am using an external USB DVD drive. I have changed the boot device priority in BIOS to enable booting from USB device.
When I restart the computer the DVD drive lights blink but it does not boot from the DVD and continues with the installed windows 10.Then I went into the bios and disabled 'safe boot' option, but that doesn't help either. What can be the problem? Is there something wrong with the way I burnt the DVD? I have used powerISO to burn the disc. When I selected the windows 10 ISO file, powerISO clearly indicated that it is a bootable image.
I know that I can use the windows 10 ISO to install windows from current running instance of windows 10.(When it failed to boot I tried to open the DVD drive content and it gave me the option to run the file.
